REGIONAL GEOLOGIST
Function :
The Regional Geologist is responsible for building and maintaining consistent subsurface models of Lundin’s core exploration areas in Malaysia. The regional models cover paleogeography, structural history, stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy. Building a common understanding within the exploration team for these areas and their impact on play and prospect assessment is a key function to enable Lundin to effectively rank and select drilling prospects across a wide acreage holding in multiple plays. Integration of incoming new well information and assessing impact on the prospect portfolio is an important function to maintain an evergreen opportunity portfolio. An important element will be to work effectively with management and team members of varying levels of experience to translate the regional concepts into drillable prospects.

Person Specification :
Geoscience graduate with at least 15 years’ exploration experience as Geologist on regional and prospect evaluation projects, where demonstrated experience in regional studies of Southeast Asia clastic sedimentary basins is most important. The candidate will have the individual ability to use both well and seismic data to build regional models and turn these into exploration plays. A sound understanding and ability to apply different methods in stratigraphy is essential. The candidate should be experienced and able with 2D and 3D seismic interpretation. Deep understanding and expertise is required in prospect and play analysis (risks & volumetrics). The candidate will have good influencing and mentoring skills.

EXPLORATION SENIOR GEOSCIENTIST / SEISMIC INTERPRETER (2 POSITIONS)
Function :
The Senior Geoscientist / Seismic interpreter provides geological framework, seismic interpretation and prospect evaluation in Lundin Malaysia’s operated PSCs. Working in a small team, the position reports to the Exploration Manager and is responsible for interpretation of 3D seismic data in one of Lundin’s core exploration areas to find and mature attractive drillable prospects and follow these through drilling and into appraisal. The Senior Geoscientist takes ownership of the subsurface plays in the assigned area and proposes plans and initiates additional seismic acquisition or other subsurface studies as required.

Person Specification :
Geoscience graduate with at least 10 years’ exploration experience as Geologist or Seismic Interpreter on regional and prospect evaluation projects, where experience in Southeast Asia clastic sedimentary basins is strongly preferred. We seek a proven prospect generator and hydrocarbon finder with a high level of expertise in 2D and 3D seismic interpretation. A strong background is required in prospect and play analysis (risks & volumetrics), prospect portfolio management, planning and executing exploration drilling projects. Specialist skills are advantage in any of the following areas : Quantitative Seismic Interpretation and AvO, Structural
