Automotive Lighting Engineering Positions in Penang
Automotive Lighting (AL) is a fully owned subsidiary of Italy’s Magneti Marelli which is part of the Fiat Group. AL produces and supplies automotive lighting solutions to the world’s major car manufacturers. In Malaysia our company is strongly export orientated. Most of our products are delivered to Japan but we also supply to the major Malaysian carmakers.
At the moment AL is investing heavily in new technologies such as adaptive headlights and LEDs for both headlamps and rearlamps.We aim to provide our customers with innovative products at lower costs.As such we want to enhance our Malaysian engineering operations and are therefore looking for the following people to fill our current and future.
Applicants must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering
or equivalent and must have used Catia V5 extensively. Experience in designing & developing complex injection moulded plastic parts or automotive experience would be an advantage. Applicants with NX/UG experience will also be considered.
Applicants must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and extensive experience of performing structured reliability testing of mechanical/electrical products. Experience and knowledge ofVibration systems is an advantage.
Applicants must have a Degree in Engineering or Physics or equivalent.The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and validating optical functions for new products. Initially this will involve developing reflector systems for halogen bulbs but in the future will extend to HID and LED applications and light guides. Previous experience with optical development would be an advantage but not essential as full training can be given.
Applicants must have a Degree in Electronics Engineering or
equivalent, knowledge of eTectronics design software and experience of designing & developing electronic products. LED applications and electronic control systems are becoming more common in car lamps. We therefore need to build up electronics expertise to support these applications.The successful applicant will be responsible for these activities.
Applicants must have a Degree in Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of two years experience in project management.The successful applicant will be responsibile for managing new lighting projects, utilizing milestones and progress tracking, and for global project coordination. He or she must have good management, communication and leadership abilities and must be able to demonstrate significant impact within their current or previous organiztions. Additionally the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate tenacity, agility and resourcefulness during project execution and consistency in meeting business objectives.
