ADMINISTRATION
1. HEALTH SAFETY ENVIRONMENT (HSE) / FIRE SAFETY OFFICER
– Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health or Public Health or equivalent;
– Min 3 yrs of relevant experience in HSE field, preferable in a hospital environment;
– Certification is an added advantage including National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) OR Fire Safety Manager certificate.
Job Description entails:
– To control, monitor and improve the safety of work activities, with the aim of preventing accidents;
– Outlining safe operational practices & procedures to the general workforce, ensuring that all operational activities are carried out in accordance with Company’s safety policies, statutory regulations & guidelines;
– Identifying and reporting various work-site accident hazards, and performing risk assessments designed to mitigate such; Carrying out periodic inspections of, and prepare inspection reports for, Company equipment (including safety equipment), as required;
– Managing the Company emergency response procedures, including the management of regular emergency exercises;
– Advising on a range of specialist areas e.g. fire regulations, safe disposal of hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational disease.
– Implement and monitor appropriate safety measures in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act;
– Conduct regular site checks and take appropriate corrective actions;
– Advise on work plan, Risk Assessment, Safe Work Procedure; and
